FAQ

How much will this cost?

Every project is different, so I prefer to customize a quote for each project individually. I do my best to keep your costs down, but it requires a little work on your end. I’ll need you to fill out a Q&A form in advance, send me some pics and dimensions of the room(s) I will be working on, and create a Pinterest board to share styles you like. Not interested in doing all of that or don’t have the time or need to save money? No problem, but there is a $100 fee for me to come and do it all in person with you. To learn more about what to expect, read about The Process.

How long will my project take?

I will have a good idea of how long your project should take after we complete the consultation process. Still, it is an estimate and your project may take more or less time than estimated. Communication is key: please let me know if you have anything coming up that I should know about. If you need your project completed faster, we may be able to make it happen with help. Your fee may be a little higher, but it can be discussed and we can work through it.

Will I get to see what you plan to do?

If your project requires some visual assistance, I use both Floor Planner and ProKitchen to create 3D renderings that I can then share. They are done to scale and will give you a really clear understanding of the plans I am proposing. I also create room boards for most projects, and even occasionally sketch things by hand when I need to.

What if I need more than just a little decorating?

If you have a renovation project, great! While I do not work with just one specific contractor, I can provide you with some that I’ve worked with in the past so you can reach out to them. Have someone you already love? That works too, and I am always happy to meet a new partner!

What Styles do you do?

While I have my own favorite style of decorating, I am happy to accommodate other styles. Here are a few to look up on Pinterest if you don’t know what you love: mid-century modern, eclectic, new traditional, industrial, rustic, Scandinavian, glam modern, art deco, Boho-chic. If you see things you love, start a board to share with me.

What brands do you like to use?

Obviously your feedback is important here, but I do have a list of brands that work over and over again and they are reasonably priced. When we meet, we will talk about your budget and go over what areas you want to splurge and what areas you want to save. I typically prefer mixing brands and price categories together to create beautiful, unique spaces that stay in budget.

Any other questions?

Please email me any important questions that I may have missed. I appreciate your help and feedback with this.
